Tomcat Error

Hi,

I tried to install latest version of Smartfoxserver and i got the following error:

How can i solve this?

Hi,
can you tell me how you're starting up SmartFoxServer?

Also is it possible you've installed the server on top of a previous version of SFS2X? If so you will need to install it again in a new location.

What operating system are you using?

The error you have posted indicates that some necessary dependencies are missing, which suggests that your current installation is corrupted. I would suggest to un-install it and start from scratch.

Hi Lapo,

I already done with the new version 2.14.

It was the issue of conflicting port in tomcat server.xml file.

<Server port="8005" shutdown="SHUTDOWN">

Change this value to free port fixed my issue.

Hi,
it is possible there was a port conflict. However I was not able to reproduce the problem. I tried by binding another web server to port 8005 and then starting SFS2X 2.14 (w/ Tomcat) but the server started up with no errors.

I would recommend downloading the installer again as we've fixed this a few days ago.
