Since ive posted this i have been able to make a lot of progress.
old issue "Server/webserver/cfg/ folder"
The problem was i did not have the pro edition of sfs.
I did not properly enable security settings from flash page.
So far I am able to connect to my local server through the admintool.swf file
but not through an internet connection. I will dig further on potential problems of a router
I have read all instructions and i have used dmz on my router incase i wasnt doing something right..Since it says no where what ip address to put in for dmz i tried network and wan. still no joy sfs remains unreachable from the internet. please help i need break

I am on a lan ip that doesnt change I added the crossdomain policies to root of the server, i adjusted my privacy settings...still no networking
can some one help me get just one program to run off of the internet?
Im running flash 8 and sfs pro trial version. ..
In order to troubleshoot the problem of not being able to reach the
smartfox server from behind my router I connected one windows xp
machine directly to the internet.
----------crossdomain.xml--------------
<?xml version="1.0"?>
<!DOCTYPE cross-domain-policy SYSTEM

<cross-domain-policy>
<allow-access-from domain="*" />
</cross-domain-policy>
-------------------------------------
-disabled firewalls
-Released renewed my ips .
-checked sandbox privladges on macromedias website
-got the machine ip
entered it into the simply connect program.
-entered it into simpleconnect.fla so the actionscript2.0 reads
var ip:String = "**.153.***.***"
var port:Number = 9339
var zone:String = "simpleChat"
\this is the old variable settings that work
var ip:String = "127.0.0.1"
var port:Number = 9339
var zone:String = "simpleChat"
-booted smartfoxserver
with config file with this set to true"<WebServer active="true">"
This is a fresh install of windows xp
the simpleconnect.fla still will not connect to the smartfox serverr
