Yeah - there is definitely something wrong in UDP shutdown. I will debug and get it fixed asap.

I already had the port open for TCP and UDP, and I still crash on disconnect.

Windows XP for server box, Win7 for client. (Connecting across the internet, all ports open properly.)

Also have Kaspersky Internet Security 2010.

Using SF2x with the newest update.

The crash on disconnect is not network/firewall related, but 99% certainly a bug in the API.

So if you can run the demo, but crash on exit - then you are all set for now.

The code itself in the example is all valid - seems a bug in the dll which I'll update and distribute as soon as the bugger is squashed

Yes, I still get the error while connecting to your mac.

However, it appears I am getting a different error than others perhaps?

Here is the error I get on a disconnect:

Code: Select all

[SFS DEBUG] TCPSocketLayer: General error reading data from socket: Read failure   at System.Net.Sockets.NetworkStream.Read (System.Byte[] buffer, Int32 offset, Int32 size) [0x00000] in <filename unknown>:0
  at Sfs2X.Core.Sockets.TCPSocketLayer.Read () [0x00000] in <filename unknown>:0

Yeah - my server is down at the moment. So there is no connection at all.

This was for another issue. UDP connections would not work even with the windows firewall disabled. The shutdown crash was tied to UDP later. ;)

Aaaaaand here we go - test this beast please.

http://www.fullcontrol.dk/downloads/SFS ... 101128.dll

I've tested this with the FPS demo in 2.6 editor, standalone and Firefox webplayer - no crash or hang.

So if you could give it some Windows love + 3.0/3.1 testing, then that would be super.

Notice that this is fresh off the compiler and pretty untested. But at least in our end on 2 different Macs there are no crash/hangs of any kind

i had a quick test, without policy it seems to work but i can't get it to work with a policy.
I have a server running with the policy active on 69.64.52.106.
Feel free to test on it.
It has the FPS extension running.

I'm using the Unity 3.1 editor (windows version). The editor crashes the same way as with the previous dll.
