Island Demo Error.

Postby crzyone9584 » 15 Oct 2010, 23:59

I have the free version of Unity 3. I opened up the project and Unity automatically updated it. When i went to test it i got a message saying all errors needed to be fixed before going into play mode.

Here is the error I'm receiving...

Assets/Editor/UpdateTreeColors.js(31,29): BCE0019: 'TerrainLightmapper' is not a member of 'UnityEditor'.

Is there a way to fix this so I can start playing with the demo to learn how it works?

yes, the island demo has not been updated for U3 and has some errors when you load it.
delete the lines which generate the errors ( i think there are 2 ) and it will start.

Unity responded on the beta 3 list that they didnt want to update the island demo to Unity 3 (the official one), as the new demo was much cooler for Unity 3.

Thats some time ago, so dont know if they did anyways - but as Eddy says - its solveable with very few steps.
