SmartVideoConference FLA

Postby matrix211v1 » 30 May 2010, 03:18

Hello All!

Does anyone have a working version of the FLA file for SmartVideoConference with AS3 example? I have the examples from the SmartFoxServer install but there are no FLA's for SmartVideoConference, just the compiled ones. I usually learn better when I have a working example in front of me.

Thanks!

The RedBox examples are distributed together with their source code inside the SmartFoxServer package. They are Flex examples, so there's no FLA: only MXML and AS classes.

I have been able to use the RedBoxClient_AS2 FLA file from the C:\SmartFoxServerPRO_1.6.6\Flash API\RedBoxClient_AS2 directory and get SmartFoxChatAV connecting to my server with no errors but my video doesn't seem to work.

I was thinking it was my client browser or a flash player installation error but I am able to go to the http://showcase.smartfoxserver.com/smartFoxChat/ url and the video works just fine. Also when I went here, it gave me the Flash warning about that Flash wants to use my Microphone and Video, in my example build it never does that.

I did have an error "[RedBox]Level: error | Code:NetConnection.Connect.Rejected" but I discovered that I had forgot to actually run the Red5.bat file. Once I did this, the error went away.

Any suggestions I should try to figure out what is wrong? I am able to connect and other are too. We can type to each other just fine and join rooms. This is on a remote server.

Maybe it's a problem with the Flash Player settings. Right-click on the swf running in your browser, and open the settings panel. There's a tab specific to webcam settings.

Thanks, but that's not it either. I had a friend visit the link and also had the same issue.

Should I upgrade the Red5 server? I am using the one that came with SmartFoxServer 1.6.6

The RedBox wasn't updated lately, so updating your SFS version won't solve the issue. It is quite difficult to understand what is going on here. No errors on the client side? No errors in the Red5 logs?

Solved

I'm such an idiot sometimes. Basically I needed to have 2 people in the room in order for the video to work.

Works great by the way.
