examples hang at login

Postby giorgio79 » 29 Feb 2008, 18:32

Hi Guys,

Not sure what I am missing.

I installed all the modules, enabled Flash access, even tried uploading it to a www server and run the example from there, still every time I login the browser hangs on me.

When I check the logs this is what I get

What does it means the it "hangs"? From the server log it seems that the connection is successful, but probably not the login. Any message on the client side?

Yes, you are right.

Basically, the login is unsuccessful, and when I enter the username nothing happens, and after a while I get a message saying "connection was lost".

I tried the standard sfs examples, and I can login fine with them.

Initially, there was a security error when trying to login but that went away after allowing access in the Flash control panel.

I tried running the debug swf examples, but no message at all is coming, and there is nothing in the logs.

Will try to test more stuff, seeing in the posts others success...

You should please run the examples from within Flex Builder 2.1 to report what is written traced in the console.

Are you sure you have added the example Zones definition in your config.xml file? It seems like the server is not finding them...

Check with the admin tool if the Zones are successfully created...

Yipppe that was it. I added the new zones at the very end of the config file, just after the </zones> tag... It should have been inside.

Thank you very much Lapo.

Paolo also thank you for the Flex tip, I never worked with it, but I will get down to business with it as I am not that familiar with that IDE...And we will do need to develop some custom stuff.

Cheers,
G
