can't connect to server

Postby gianpaolof » 04 Apr 2012, 23:33

hello all,
Strangely I can not connect to my sfs2x both remotely and locally. I setted an interval of 10 seconds to connect and check the status. The connection status is always false and on the messages log is:

Code: Select all

[SFS - WARN] A connection attempt is already running

[SFS - WARN] A connection attempt is already running

[SFS - WARN] A connection attempt is already running

etc..

can anyone help me?
thanks in advance

Have you verified that SFS2X is up and running? Can you connect to it via the Admin tool? Do you have the correct ip and ports configured in your config.xml? Is there a firewall blocking the ports?

The server is running and reachable. I purchased a VPS with "minimal Debian 6" yesterday. I tried to connect with sample projects and they work properly. The connection should end, it seems that never expires. if the configuration file is incorrect (wrong ip etc.), I expect to be called one of the methods to alert OnConnection connection error.

I'm using with 1.0.4 client API on 2.0.1 SFS2x. Sample client use 1.0.2 client API.

Thanks a lot!!!

Eventually it will time out. See http://docs2x.smartfoxserver.com/api-do ... ectionLost:

You should receive an onConnectionLost 'unknown' event.
