Local SWF access HTTPS (SSL encryption of SFS)

Postby alexcy32 » 08 Nov 2015, 06:05

Dear All,

Here is a question that some of you might have encountered and solvedif you are using encryption of SFS 2.10

1) I have a local SWF (or an SWF running from Flash IDE CS6)

2) It has a local-with-network sandbox

3) When I try sfs.Cryptoinit() I get a sandbox violation:
*** Security Sandbox Violation ***
Connection to https:/example.com:8443/BlueBox/CryptoManager halted - not permitted from file:///Z|/Z/.../Test.swf

4) If I publish it to SWF, upload it on the server running SFS (www/root folder) then the swf runs OK

5) Problem is that this SWF will be residing in an Adboe Director executable on the client's machine and it will not be running from the server

6) SFS pushes the crossdomain.xml to the SWF and this is what I get each time using the default crossdomain.xml:
Warning: Timeout on xmlsocket://example.com:843 (at 3 seconds) while waiting for socket policy file. This should not cause any problems, but see http://www.adobe.com/go/strict_policy_files for an explanation.
Warning: Ignoring <site-control> tag in policy file from xmlsocket://example.com:9933. This tag is only allowed in master policy files.
Warning: Failed to load policy file from https://example.com:8443/crossdomain.xml

Lapo has been superb in helping me so far but I would like to see if anyone else has encountered this issue of USING ENCRYPTION ON SFS through a LOCAL SWF file.

Thank you so much
