I have a 64 bit Windows Server 2008 dedicated server co-located at a data center and I have the SFS2X installed and running as a servce on this box.
I am a little confused as to how I can that service to listen to a particular IP. My box has 2 additional IP address that aren't being used, so how do I set up IIS7 to have an IP address point to SFS? I believe that is how it is supposed to work?
As a side note, do I need to install flash 10.* on my server? I didn't really want to install that on my server if I didn't have to. I know that the server control panel is a SWF, but I was hoping to run that remotely for administration.
Thanks for the great product!
Dedicated Server Setup
Go to {SFS2X directory}\SFS2X\config\ folder.
Open server.xml
In the <socketAddresses> tag, you can add your specific IP address and port there.
You will also need to add the IP address of your remote machine which wants to access the admin tool - that will enable you to configure the server more easily without requiring flash on your server. This is added in the <allowedRemoteAddresses> tag.
I think that's all you need to get going. Just make sure you have port 9933 open.
...And don't forget to reset the server once you've made the changes!

I would like to suggest to use the AdminTool instead!
There's no need to mess with the XML code when you have a convenient visual interface that guides you in the process.
The AdminTool is immediately available on the localhost as soon as the server is setup. Just open the browser and point it to http://127.0.0.1:8080
Cheers
