Hello again,
I am running into an issue that I think might be related to the data size of a request sent from the server to the client.... I'm not getting any error messages on this one so this this is my best guess anyway. Currently, I am reading a json file from the server's data folder (about 124kb in size) and sending it to the client. according to my traces, the file is loaded and sent but the client doesn't receive the response.
I've tested this same call with much smaller json files (2 or 3kb) in size and they are received from the server just fine. Before I try another solution for this issue, am I just hitting some sort of size limitation here?
RequestSize Issue?
Re: RequestSize Issue?
Hi,
there are no limits to the size of a server response. In particular the size you're talking about seems pretty reasonable so it shouldn't cause any issues, unless the client is using a bad/unstable mobile connection.
Have you tried testing in a local network? By having server and client in the same LAN. It should work without issues.
Also keep in mind that text data gets compressed quite efficiently, so the JSON response might end up 50% or less the original size once encoded by the protocol.
Let us know
p.s. = what SFS2X version are you using and what client API are you testing with?
