SignUpAssistantComponent NoSQL Solution

Postby Andy608 » 03 Nov 2020, 06:44

Hello,

I was wondering if the SignUpAssistantComponent works for noSQL databases like MongoDB.

If there is support, how can I get this setup? If there isn't support, would I need to write my own signup code? Or can I extend from SignUpAssistantComponent and override the parts that use SQL to interact with the database?

I'm hoping there is support as I really like all of the extra functionality the SignUpAssistantComponent has (password resetting/email verification, etc)

If noSQL isn't already supported, it would be a really nice feature for you to implement into SmartFoxServer's SignUpAssistantComponent (and since different noSQL databases have different syntax, it could be nice to allow people to inject their own DB code into a generic SignUpAssistantComponent) :)

Thanks,
Andy

Hi,
unfortunately no. The component is based on JDBC and SQL queries.

Cheers

Is the SFSDBManager class SQL only as well?
