SFS Admin Tool When Flash Becomes Obsolete
SFS Admin Tool When Flash Becomes Obsolete
HI, what will happen to the sfs admin tool when chrome will completely remove flash next year?
Re: SFS Admin Tool When Flash Becomes Obsolete
Hi,
we’re working on a new HTML5 version of the Admin Tool that will be released as soon as it is ready.
For the meantime you have different options:
1) run the Flash-based admin tool in another browser that supports the Flash Player, such as Firefox
2) download the standalone version of the AdminTool for Windows or MacOS from our website.

Hope it helps

I just tried to download the AdminTool for macOS, fresh off your website, but it is not compatible with macOS Catalina / Big Sur. Please update it asap, I have no way of administrating the server currently
Re: SFS Admin Tool When Flash Becomes Obsolete
Hello,
the standalone AdminTool is a legacy tool based on the Flash platform (Adobe Air), which is no longer supported by Adobe.
It is not possibile for us to update it because Adobe has dropped the support and never created a 64-bit version of the runtime. macOS Catalina doesn't support 32-bit apps anymore, hence the problem.
There are two suggestions I can give you:
1) The best option is to update to a more recent SFS2X (latest as of today, is 2.17.0) since we have introduced a new HTML5 AdminTool over a year ago.
2) Use Parallels (or equivalent virtualization tool, such as Fusion or VirtualBox) and run the legacy Flash AdminTool inside an older OSX or Windows.
Hope it helps
