Unable to connect to admin page

Postby hoangdoanh » 28 Dec 2016, 15:23

Hi

I have just done the following.
    1.Install SmartFoxServer 2.12
    2.Add extension to SmartFoxServer
    3.Configure config/server.xml by adding TCP socket(using private Ip, and port 6868)
    4.Open firewall for above port (6868) and also 8080
    5.Let SmartFoxServer run successfully, SFS 2X is ready, Blue Box service is ready
    7.Input public_ip and port and also user/pwd

But after all, I got message unable to connect to public_ip:6868

Could you please help me to address this issue, I have been using SmartFoxServer for more than 3 years,
but long time no see this issue,

Thank you very much.

I have just tried more simple steps
    1.Download and extract SmartFoxServer 2.12
    2.Edit config/server.xml to add following sockets
    <socket address="172.31.17.199" port="1234" type="UDP"/>
    <socket address="172.31.17.199" port="1234" type="TCP"/>
    3.Ensure that 1234 and 8080 ports open
    4.Run server successfully
But the issue still exists, did I miss something necessary ?

Oh,

Eventually I found solution here :
http://www.smartfoxserver.com/forums/vi ... 18&t=18978

It was a big surprise to me, I couldn't imagine before Flash can affect socket functionality .

I installed new Flash, and admin is working well now .

Thank you

Yes, that Flash update has caused quite a bit of "panic" :shock:
Fortunately Adobe has responded pretty quickly to the notifications.

cheers
