Join the lobby room and the game room
What is the difference between joining the lobby room and joining the game room? My scenario is to measure the latency of the request to join rooms. Test results indicate that join the game room spend more time than joining that lobby room, the more obvious difference when using 2G (Edge): joining the lobby room spend under 1 seconds, joining the game room spend 3-5 seconds? The purpose of my tests is to estimate the lag problem of the server (or client) while using bad network mode (2G)
Re: Join the lobby room and the game room
Hi,
the actual joining time takes a few microseconds
What you are measuring are oscillations in the network latency (which are expected on mobile devices), not differences in the actual process of joining.
There are no differences in joining a regular/lobby Room and a game Room.
cheers
