Previously, we had SmartFoxServer 2.4 installed on a server, and I was able to keep the admin tool open indefinitely. Now we switched to a new server with SmartFoxServer 2.7 installed. The admin tool consistently stops working after about 20 to 30 minutes. I need to log in again each time. The log on the bottom of the login screen says "A disconnection occurred due to unknown reason; please reconnect".
What could be happening? What should I investigate to track down the problem?

Check the server side log. Please share the log lines referring to the administrator disconnection. And maybe also those referring to his connection first.

If you are connected over the internet it can happen, due to network instability.
Some of the Admin modules such as the Dashboard and the Zone Monitor are always getting updates, so they will keep the connection alive and it's unlikely that a disconnection will happen. Other modules don't use auto-updates and it's more likely to be disconnected after say 30 minutes or more.

My admin tool disconnects every 2 or 3 minutes which is very aggravating when I'm trying to troubleshoot something.
I'm guessing from the logs it might be a bluebox problem? I can't easily copy/paste the full info from the logs because your "export button" locks up my browser every single time I use it.

Can't you connect via socket? It is likely the cause of the problem.

The sever guys told me they opened 9933, and that is what I'm trying to connect through on the admin tool.

You should definitely be able to use regular TCP sockets for your AdminTool connection.
No it shows the server port on the left side and client port on right side. But your connection is happening via BlueBox not socket.
Are you behind a firewall or proxy maybe?

I don't think so. I don't think I've had this problem with other projects. How do I know if smart fox really has access to that port? Is there some info in the fact that a session is created on 9933 but then that session is terminated and a bluebox session is started, or is that how bluebox always works?

Read the thread and realized that the reason for this trouble may be the fact that I go to the server via VPN or proxy connection? That is, it would be better to turn it off, I correctly understand?
