Each Room works with a default AOI but you can provide a custom one with your own calls/messages.
There is however one limitation: the custom AOI must be <= Room's AOI. This means that you will need to plan your maximum AOI and use it as the Room's default if you are going to use multiple AOIs

Quick update, we're almost ready to roll
C# and AS3 API are complete, we have finished adding features to the 2.8 release and packaging the update.
In the next 6-7 days we'll be finishing the tutorials for the new features and release the update.
Next we'll start porting to C++, Objective-C, Java and HTML5 API.
