Hi Smartfox Team,
can you confirm that JDK 7 is supported to compile my extension and also to run on our Server? basically I would like to get rid of JDK 6 since its EOL is approaching.
also Bonus question: it should not matter if I compile with 64 bit JDK or 32 bit right?
compiling and running with JDK 7
Re: compiling and running with JDK 7
In order to run with JDK7 you will need to substitute the jre/ folder with the new JRE7
SFS2X runs without problems with JDK7 but there's a minor issue with the AdminTool Statistics, those use specific classes in JDK6 which cause an exception in JDK7, unfortunately.
We will soon provide a small update for JDK7 users and we plan to provide full JDK7 compatibilty with the next big update.
hope it helps

Re: compiling and running with JDK 7
UPDATE: sometimes things are easier than expected. We checked the issue with JDK7 and we were able to fix right away so the new update we have just released provides full support for JDK7.
Enjoy
