Clustering sfs2x

Hey.
I was wondering if we can expect any source code or basic framework for clustering sfs2x anytime soon.

According to my reading i have understood that sfs2x will be tightly integrated with terracotta 3.

I would like to know if we can expect any updates on the subject in the next month, as I would like to develop our next game with clustering in mind and i do like the approach of using terracotta it fits our needs.

It's not so much that SFS2X has direct support for it, but that Terracotta pretty much works with any jvm app.

You should be able to use it on SFS2X now although I haven't tried. I personally warn against using it just because I have a sneaking suspicion you'll run into problems with how well it and the new extension class loader system work together during development.

The tight integration with Terracotta will be developed during this year. In the meanwhile you can use the same approach we explained for SFS 1 in these white papers: http://www.smartfoxserver.com/clustering/

Yes this is something that has been object of study for quite some time. We have several prototypes and we'll expand on them during the course of the year, after SFS2X final is released.

No, not the next month. We don't really have any dates for this.

Thank you for the pointers i have done my research on the subject and read all the posts and articles related.

I rather wait for your cluster support and try and hang on with a single strong dedicated server untill then, your designs would probably beat mine.
