Postby Bax » 10 Mar 2011, 09:00

We just launched the official SmartFoxServer channel on YouTube! 8)
You will find:

:idea: the official SmartFoxServer 2X video tutorials we just released (more are coming in the next weeks);
:idea: other SmartFoxServer tutorials recorded by third-party developers which deserve your attention;
:idea: a showcase of the best games and applications based on the SmartFoxServer platform.

Feel free to send the links to other tutorials or videos which show your multiplayer game/application in action.

hi. I.m interested in recoding some tutorials, but i have a question. Does the video need to have voice comments(like the videos you have in your channel)?

Voice comments are a plus, but of course what is more important is what the tutorial shows (possibly exploring features not yet described in the existing tutorials).

Flash Builder makes it much more easier to show the development process. Anyway the same concepts apply to Flash.

You guys planning to have any more of these? Would love a more in depth tutorial series on the extension development process.

@ b360
Check the "Other tutorials" playlist, at the bottom there are some regarding SFS2X and Unity. <plug> made by me </plug>

I admit I have not uploaded a new video in a long time, but things in my real life are getting more stable and hopefully be able to push some new ones out shortly :)
Plus the next video(s) I have planned are on how to install and configure SFS2X, NetBeans w/Java, and a MySQL server to work seamlessly when developing with Unity.
(so it would be a great place to start if you are new to it)

The tutorials are good but it's really hard to read the small text with only 720p quality.

Thank you for the comment (if it was intended for me).
Also what type of resolution/encoding would you suggest for the videos?
This is the first negative feedback I have heard regarding resolution and readability of text, so I am also curious what resolution you are running. Or if you selected 720p on YouTube and it didnt actually buffer correctly.
