[FIXED] Flash CS5 issues

Postby Bax » 06 May 2010, 09:33

We are testing OpenSpace under Flash CS5 (both Mac and Windows versions) and we have found a couple of problems at author-time, so any help would be appreciated.

-1-
When trying to drag the OpenSpace component from the Components panel to the stage, or to the Library panel, it doesn't work. There's no way to import the component! (while this worked like a charm in Flash CS4). The same happens with the AvatarLibrary non-visual component when dragging it to the Library panel.

-2-
If we open an existing FLA (created with Flash CS4), the OpenSpace component doesn't show correctly at author-time: you only get a black frame, instead of the expected white background with the OS logo in the middle. When compiling, everything works fine.

Any ideas?

The issues described above have been submitted to Adobe which was able to reproduce and fix them. Make sure you install the latest Flash update.

Regarding issue -2-, you will probably still experience it after the update. To fix it, simply remove the component from the Library panel, drag a new instance on the stage from the Components panel and name it openSpace.
