Feedback from OpenSpaceExtension.moveAvatar

Postby cyli » 14 Apr 2010, 05:26

Right now, moveAvatar will simply fail to move the avatar if there is no path to the location, without any kind of feedback besides logging to the server (I'm moving an NPC from one location to another).

Is there any way to get feedback from that method, perhaps if it returned a boolean, so that my extension could react to that?

If not, it seems I'd have to parse the map and do my own pathfinding anyway, just to find which tiles are pathable and which are not, so I do not accidentally try to send my NPCs to unpathable tiles.

Thank you!

A server-side PathfinderException should be fired. Thank you for pointing out. (and please check the private message I sent you some hour ago)
