Building your own client

Postby warhell » 29 Jun 2011, 17:43

Hi, I was wondering if it was possible to build your own client for the SmarFoxServer? I bought the 100 user license, and I was thinking of making a html5 game (without flash) and I would like chatrooms and such. Now, is it possible to send http request to the "server" part of SmartFoxServer and then deal with the messages coming back? It doesn't look like making the client would be that hard, would it be possible to view the client side code of SmartFoxServer?

The AS3 API source code is distributed with SmartFoxServer.

Could you give a direct link in install directory where I can find a protocol description or integration sample please. The question is essential for me too.
I want to integrate our c++ game engine with smartfox server.

There's no protocol description or anything else.
The only way you have is to get the source code of an existing API and convert it to C++.
In order to obtain the source code of an existing API, just send us an email requesting it.
