My own yard map

Postby kevinc » 27 Jan 2010, 22:20

We currently have a common area (map) where everyone can see one another and talk etc. We'd like to be able to teleport (via a sensor tile) to our own property from there (but only WE are able to see our own property).

For example, if there were 3 different people in the common area and they all used the sensor tile to go to their properties (map) then each person would feel like they were in their own map (they wouldn't see anyone).

I'm looking for ideas on how to implement this.

Thanks.

All the avatar movement events contain the id of the avatar (user), so you could redirect each user to his own map.

Good idea. I think I understand. So basically there would be a bunch of duplicate map xml files with a unique user id appended to the name. When a user is about to teleport we would look up that unique id and map xml file and go from there.
