I have linux and i read the doc. and i opened terminal to the server folder and put ./start but nonthings happending.
whats wrong?

Also, did you run the installer as suggested in the docs?
Was the installation successful?
I am assuming you're running the server from the folder created by the installer...
nonthing pops up on the terminal and goes back to the file names
i go to the server folder and do it
See, it's kind of hard helping when I ask questions and just get a few yes or no. If you don't answer all my questions and provide detailed help it's going to quite hard for us to understand what's going on.
I'd like to know if you used the provided installer, and if it worked. If not did you see any messages?
If you don't remember just remove the installation directory and start the installation process from scratch. Then please report any errors.
Also please tell us a bit about your computer/server: cpu, ram, os, os vendor and version.

it downloads are alright and the system is Xubuntu 6.06
