Connecting... Again

Postby prim » 05 Jul 2005, 19:06

Hi, i hope the answer isn't already in the forum, anyway, i didn't find it so i'll ask you.

We have installed SFS on our webserver and it's nearly working : if i run avatarChat.swf from my comp, i can connect and use the chat normally.

BUT, if i run this same swf from my webserver (where SFS is installed and running), it just stay blocked on the "Connecting..." screen.

How can it work from my comp and not from my webserver ?

Hope u'll be able to tell me, thx

The problem is related with the Flash Player security restrictions...
Please read chapter 3.1 of the online docs >> http://www.smartfoxserver.com/docs/

Add this line to the config.xml:

Code: Select all

<AutoSendPolicyFile>true</AutoSendPolicyFile>

in the <ServerSetup></ServerSetup> block to have the crossdomain file automatically generated by SFS.

Ok thx for reply, but i've already tryied this before and it doesn't work. I try again today and restart the server and same result :(

I have already read all on this forum to fix my problem but i haven't find the solution.

Anything else ?

Maybe i do a mystake in the configuration of my server or my swf ? I've put ip adress of my webserver in the config.xml and in the swf on the port 9339 for the two. It's ok ?

That code is wrong!

Why do you use 192.168.0.1 ?! That's a local address!
You should put the address of SmartFoxServer!
