Windows 7...

Postby ZehGameMaker » 17 Nov 2009, 23:18

I was just wondering,

Is Smartfox server compatible with Windows 7?

I have a friend who told me it did not work for him,
so I was wondering if there's anything specific I could do.
He thinks it's because it's on the new Windows 7.

Sorry,

It turns out it is not Installation that was a problem.

Rather, he has said every time he runs the server,

It says this.

java isn't recognised as internal or external assignment, program or batchfile

This is not the actual error message, it is a translation of

java wordt niet herkend als interne of externe opdracht, programma, of batchbestand

What does this mean? Is there any way to fix it?

Thank you.

Are you sure it is SmartFoxServer Basic? What version is it?
Also how do you run the server? As a service or via start.bat?

He says he's using the Lite version, and is using the start.bat file to open it.

SmartFoxServer Lite has not been updated in a while and we highly recommend to use the BASIC edition, which comes with even more tutorials, more features and a free 20 user license. No expiration times.

Hope it helps
