connecting... (localhost)

connecting... (localhost)

Hi,

I just installed the SFS in my pc, I did everything I was supposed to.. Installed Java.. Flash API.. I didnt change a thing on the config file. but when I try to logging it says connecting... and nothing happens...

I have a Windows XP, all updated, with IIS and everything else, my IP address is DHCP...

make sure that the ip address in the config file and the flash file are the same (127.0.0.1) You might also have to check your firewall (Windows service pack 2 has an easy way to use the windows firewall - control panel > security center > windows firewall)

Still not working...


My IP Address is: 127.0.0.1, port: 9339

My firewall is turned off..

If it helps.. my Flash is MX 2004, Flash Player v. 7

I had the same problem when I first got SFS. You should also check for the versions of the SFS API. check out this post

This is how I got mine to work.

I suppose you're doing all on the same machine...
I mean you run the server and from the same machine you run one of the examples... is that correct?

I suggest an experiment:

run the server
open the "SimpleChat" example in Flash an run it from there (CTRL + ENTER)

Then please copy & paste here the text of the Flash output window (F2)
