I am currently evaluating the BASIS SmartFoxServer, and I have a question about licencing.

If I buy the first licence for 200 euro, gicing me 100 concurrent connections, and I later on wants to upgrade from 100 connections til 500 connections, will I just pay the difference from the licence already purchased ?

I mean :

first I buy : 100 connections licence = 200 euro
the I buy : 500 connection licence = 400 euro

Will I then pay a total of 600 (200 + 400) euro or 400 (200 + 200) euro ?

Hello fonager,
sorry for my late reply. It seems like I didn't see this post.

The licensing system is easy: you always pay the difference from your previous licence.

In other words:

if you buy the 100 licence and spend 200 euros, to upgrade to the 500 licence you will spend 200 euros (400 - 200 of your old licence)

So you end up paying the price of the 500 licence without additional costs.

Same thing will be for the PRO edition, and you'll be able to switch from Basic to PRO in the same way.

Let me know if you have any more questions.

p.s. = SmartFoxServer updates are free for all our clients.
