Workaround for usernames with invalid characters

I noticed in another thread that by default the ^ character is filtered in zones for usernames. I have user's with usernames that use that character and when logged into smartfox server it is stripped.

Is there any way I can prevent it from stripping this character or a workaround?

Yes you can customize the characters that are stripped.
Check the Zone <UserNameAvoidChars> setting

It doesn't seem that removes the default characters - only allows you to add your own additional characters to strip or am I mistaken?
