It seems your Flex projects aren't configured properly. "src" should be the main project source folder (in fact you have 2 mxml files with the same name per project, and this is wrong). Also, you have to add the SmartFoxServer AS3 API folder (that you can find in your SmartFoxServer installation) as source folder.

Hey, does Redbox work with AS 2?? Our whole Project is AS2 at the moment, and we hope we dont have to move to AS3 just yet...

Currently we are evaluating if the RedBox API should be ported to AS2: there's a number of technical issues in doing this. Also, it all depends on the number of requests for AS2 API that we will receive. You are the first to ask.
Meanwhile, you could check the AS3 API and "copy" the functionalities you may need into your application.

As the reported error mentions, the connection to the Red5 server is not available. It is probably not running, or it can't be reached due to some security settings. Please check the RedBox forum for further help on this. Also please post your problems in that forum, and not as replies to the current post, thank you.

I've got a windows Vista pc

i ve installed xampp(apache and mySQL) and SmartFoxServer
but when i try to start the server, i get this message...

Db manager could not retrieve a connection.

this comes with alot of codes and ending with,

Errors found in configuration files.
Unable to start the server.

Shutting down server...

[time] ::info: shutdown hook complete

press a key to continue...


when i do this the program shuts down... help??

You have probably an error in the database connection configuration.
