Hi,
I'm in the process of making a game, which is coded in AS3, that involves letting the user choose between being a good guy or a bad guy. The good guys would have different sets of weapons, and the bad guys would, too.
Can someone give me an idea on how I would do this, please? Thanks!

Hello, this is really something that you and your staff will need to figure out how to implement those kind of things. It's very straightforward after understanding how data exchange between players or from server to player and vice visa work and interaction with the database via an extension.
There are some third party tutorials/book how to implement those kind of things. https://www.packtpub.com/flash-multipla ... ign=ramsai is an example.

Smartfox's forum is my daily newspaper.
Okay, I've got that basically down.
I was thinking that the button at startup would be, like, something like..
on.release {
gotoandPlay (whatever)
}
and such for the bad/good guy button. And the button would send something to the database, saving the choice.
would that be correct? I think my actionscript is off, though. But i guess you get the point
