you must use UTF-8 or the appropriate ISO8859 standard (but i doubt that there is a ISO8859 standard for chinese).
Dont know how you do it in flash but i guess you could do some binary tricks.

one reason i know of why roomlevel is slower than zonelevel is that rooms runds in their own threads so when you have a lot of rooms you get a lot of threads and that can be a bit slow.

the properties field is an <Object, Object> HashMap. Since all java object inheritage from java.lang.Object you cant know whats in it so when you get() stuff from the properties field you must typecast the objects In the case you have a String as value in your HashMap you have to: String myString = ...

I dont really know and i havent go the time to check it up but I think they will add a binary protocol for the 1.6 release. Correct me if im wrong.
And UDP is not supported by Flash so its not worth it (In Director you can actually use UDP)

I agree with the previous posts. Im very happy with the support and the fast replys. I have been trying to contact Adobe support many times to report bugs and ask questions. It is impossible to eaven get anyone to answer.

Big ups to Smartfox Support/Development crew.

i just tested this and it works great. To bad only with the securitypopup but i guess its impossible to remove.

We tested here on our office in sweden. about two seconds ping.
I spoke with a guy in thailand and he said it worked great as well.

Anyway if anyone else wants it its almoust done. Anyone can get it for free under some kind of "GNU public licence" if you promise to redistribute your contributions.
