What you could try is also modify the roomlist dataprovider manually, to hide/show rooms when certain events are fired. The list inside our SmartFoxBit component is essentially the mCOM List component, that can be accessed using the .roomsList property. You can refer to the mCOM documentation to und...

Hi jademyr. This is a very specific feature which is not supported by the RoomList component. The best way to achieve this would be to develop custom serverside logic. SmartFoxServer serverside framework lets you do this, but you have to check examples and documentation. Otherwise you can purchase t...

The example was focused on the SmartFoxBits, so we didn't add the actual game in order to avoid adding non-relevant code. Also, the purpose of the Bits is exactly to let you focus on the core of your multiplayer game, without having to worry about the development of repetitive assets, like chat pane...

I'm playing with the lobby example and I see in the parameters for login that it is set to connect to sfstris and it sortof seems to be running but there is only a grey "your game here" box. I guess this is correct? The actual game doesn't play in this example or am I missing something? Y...

Hi NateDog. where are the server side files for the examples? The SmartFoxBits components of the Community Edition Pack do not require any server-side extension! 8) CHeck the video tutorial: you just have to run SmartFoxServer, drag&drop the components on the stage and set a bunch of parameters ...

Hi Yu.

Once you have intercepted messages in your serverside extension, you just have to send an extension message to the moderator, containing (for example) the chat message and the room id. On the client side you can then have different textareas for different rooms.

Then probably your request is quite off-topic in this forum, because it's not related with multiplayer programming. I suggest you to write a post in the gotoAndPlay() forum: you will find a lot of developers who can help you.

Hi Mariana, it's not so clear what you would like to do. If you mean you want to reuse assets from our examples, this is ok (having a "Powered by SmartFoxServer" displayed, with a link to our website, would be fine). If you plan to import your single-player game inside our examples, this i...

It's not clear why to implement gravity on the server side. If you send the coordinates of the avatar continuously, then your client-side approach is correct: manage gravity on the client side, and keep sending coordinates. A little different approach would be if you send moves instead of coordinate...

From this post : Default room behavior: 1- Regular rooms : are destroyed when empty and the owner is not connected to the server anymore (if owner == server, rooms are never destroyed) 2- Game rooms : are destroyed as soon as the last user inside leaves the room. (if owner == server, room is never d...

Hi Sean.

It seems you are trying to create the room 2 times in a row.
Maybe for some reason you are calling the function that creates the room two times. Please double check your program flow.
Otherwise the problem could reside in the extension. Are you sure it doesn't recreate the same room?

You have another typo here. According to documentation, the method is called getVariable, and not getVariables (you have this method too, but you don't have to pass a parameter, and you get the list of all the variables in the room).
