You can't run an application on a website. The application runs on a server/platform.

The error says that :

Code: Select all

public void OnBuddyListInit(SFSBuddyEvent evt)

should be

Code: Select all

public void OnBuddyListInit(BaseEvent evt)
[/code]

reconnection timeframe = the time between the client connection lost on the server and the time the server should stop and try to reconnect the lost client
Just a wild guess but i don't think i'm far off.

SFS2x is way faster then SFS1. For Unity it doesn't matter which one you want to use. They both work great with it.

Nope, you don't have to do anything, it should reconnect automaticly. It works fine on my box. Not sure if you set the SFS variable to Null is a good test. I tested it between 2 servers by unplugging the network cable briefly and that worked fine.

There are some ways to achieve what you want, it all depends on what you need. You can use the built-in privilege system or create a system in an extension with a database. Just handle it on the zone level and it should work just fine.

Networking can be hard, a push in the right direction makes it easier :)
I don't recall if it's enabled by default in SFS but i think it is.
You can also look for the crossdomain.xml thats in (ApplicationRoot)/SFS2X/config. Thats what SFS sends to Unity upon prefetch.

yep, you need policy validation in the Unity webplayer to be able to connect to SFS. You can enable it in SFS webtool or you can use the sockpol.exe that comes with Unity and run that. You can also do a search for webplayer and policy which will bring up alot of topics on teh subject. It's a bit lik...

Thats wierd, have you tried clearing the cache of your browser or maybe try with another browser ?
The demo extensions should at least show.
