yeah i tried a lot of suggested solutions in the config, i'm kinda stuck. And i think the jetty documentation is not very clear, there are many different instructions to create virtual hosts, but none worked for me. Either nothing happens, or i get an error message during SFS2X boot. Which version o...

Multiple Domains with Jetty

Hi, I have SFS2X installed on one server, but would like two domains pointing to it. Domain1 will access the /www/root folder, Domain2 should get redirected to /www/domain2/. It should be possible to configure Jetty for multiple domains, probably with virtual Hosts: http://docs.codehaus.org/display/...

If he can load the swf on localhost and fool the key generation script into thinking he's loading from your domain (by spoofing the referrer), the hacker wins. If he can fool the browser into loadi...

Create a timer to send the ball movement just every second or so.
Then use tweening to make the ball movement smooth.

You'll have to play around with good intervals, tweening and easing.

A good tween library is http://code.google.com/p/actuate/

Good luck

to save you some headaches, here's are some current inconveniences in the dbmanager: 1. executeQuery won't work if any of your field values are null http://www.smartfoxserver.com/forums/viewtopic.php?t=9436 2. ISFSArray result = db.executeQuery(sql, new Object[]{name}); won't work: http://www.smartf...

Do some web searches for "Dead Reckoning", maybe that could help. Some examples: http://www.gamasutra.com/view/feature/3230/dead_reckoning_latency_hiding_for_.php http://gamedev.stackexchange.com/questions/552/synchronizing-clients-with-a-server-and-with-each-other http://developer.valveso...

SFSObject.newFromObject

hi there i think newFromObject is detecting the Arrays incorrectly. The following code: var firstArray:Array = new Array(); firstArray[0] = new Object(); var secondArray:Array = new Array(); secondArray.push(new Object()); var o:Object = new Object(); ...

You can either suppress the events via "fireClientEvent, fireServerEvent" http://docs2x.smartfoxserver.com/api-docs/javadoc/com/smartfoxserver/v2/api/ISFSApi.html#setUserVariables(com.smartfoxserver.v2.entities.User,%20java.util.List,%20boolean,%20boolean) But in this situation the user is...

the Object your sending to the client in the LOGIN_OUT_DATA is not stored as a userVariable, so yes, it's not tied to the user - it's just one time sent data. You should set the userVariables on the Server during the USER_JOIN_ZONE event, possibly with something like this: else if(eventType.equa...

SFS does not include anything to support p2p connections. Flash 10 has everything built in, also don't forget that cirrus is still in beta.
