that's not the same thing.

I'm running the server on my vps with sfs2x-service start whenever i want to see the console i have to stop the server and start it with sfs2x.sh. It would be a lot nicer if i could simply connect with the admin tool and see the error messages/traces that occurred.

i would love to have that too.

There is a log in the admin tool (the little book icon in the bottom right) but it doesn't show traces. Can we somehow enable it to show the same messages as the console?

which steps should i take to prepare SFS2X for a productive system?

disable the extension monitor?
disable the remote debugger?
disable the logging according to this http://smartfoxserver.com/forums/viewtopic.php?t=10336 ?
