Re: How add a Spectator to Game Room

Hi,
it looks like the Room is already full.
I would double check a couple of things:
1) only game Rooms support spectators, double check you're joining the User in a game Room
2) check the limits you have set for players and spectators (maxUsers, maxSpectators)

Thanks

Re: Bottleneck on sending UDP packets

Hi,
what SFS2X server version are you running?
What client side API and platform do you use?

Also, what is the average packet rate of your UDP requests?
How many players per Room?

Thanks

Re: Login into a zone

Hi, the problem is that the login request must be sent inside the OnConnection handler method. In other words you need to wait for the client to successfully connect before sending the Login req. What is happening now is that you're connecting and immediately trying to login without waiting for the ...

Re: SmartFox Server 2X Web Socket Problem

One more thing, if there's a proxy between client and server, like a reverse proxy you might want to double check it's configuration especially in terms of timeouts. If I remember correctly you were using Cloudflare as part of your network setup.

Re: SmartFox Server 2X Web Socket Problem

This doesn't look like a valid packet. Either something is missing or it's invalid data. Can you show us how the Extension is generating/creating the data? (if you prefer to do it privately send me a private message) Also, I have tested sending a 330KB image from Extension to client, via the BlueBox...

Re: Multiple rooms issue with proximity list

CineTek wrote:That is a relief! Would you recommend us upgrading to 2.14?

No, not for this specific issue at least. It looks like the problem originates in the client side API so, if everything goes well, we'll be releasing a new client update in the next few days.

Re: Multiple rooms issue with proximity list

We were able to reproduce the issue. We'll investigate the problem in the next days and prepare a patch with the fix.
I'll post an update when it's ready.

Hope it helps

Ok, thanks, we'll try to reproduce the issue joining both an MMORoom and a regular Room.

Re: Multiple rooms issue with proximity list

Hi, what version of SFS2X are you using? What client side platform are you using? And what version of the client API? Essentially you're saying that two users in an MMORoom don't get updated correctly when one disconnects, whereby the remaining player does not get an update via the removedUsers list...

Re: How can references in java can call it's call methods.

In Java all variables are references. They are references to objects created in the heap memory.
You can invoke any method on an object reference that is declared as "public".

The "reset" method is a public method of the TrisGameBoard class.

Hope it helps

Re: Servlet Manager error #2035

Sorry, my bad. For some reason, I was thinking of Tomcat's servlet manager, while you were referring to the AdminTool's module :)
It seems your installation is broken and the module is missing.
I would probably recommend to re-download the installer and perform a fresh install.

Re: What event gets called once a player disconnects ?

Please check the official examples we provide. In particular see the SimpleMMOWorld example which shows how to handle new players entering the AoI and exiting players leaving it. The disconnected player is definitely passed in the PROXIMITY_LIST_UPDATE event among the removed users. If there's any p...
