Yes, but what is your build target?
Even from the Editor that's relevant. For example if you're building for WebGL the Editor is going to use websockets, rather than TCP socket to communicate.

It's quite difficult to say. It sounds like you were already running SFS2X before and at some point you started seeing this problem. If so maybe you've done some changes? System update? If you just want to test the mechanism and related events you can use the SmartFox.KillConnection() method.
This simulates a sudden disconnection and it was introduced exactly for the purpose of testing the reconnection system.

Hi, the server always disconnects a client that has been idle for too long. Are you saying that the client does not detect a CONNECTION_LOST event? If so the problem might be of a different nature. Can you tell me what kind of client are you testing with, what API version and what SFS2X version too?...

the first thing to check is firewalls. In particular on the PC running the server.
Make sure that traffic is allowed for TCP 9933 and UDP 9933.
