Heya- The reloading system works, because bt deleting the file, and replacing it you are telling windows to braodcast an event to all applications listening that 1) The file has been deleted, and 2) that a new file has been created. As Lapo said, make sure its actually being overwriten, since you mo...

Does everything work now?

Cause as i said, in your extension code you showed i dont see you actually login them into the server via

Code: Select all

server.loginUser(nick, pass, chan)

which needs to be done on the server extension when you are doing a custom login.

Hey- Not sure if thats all the code on your loginRequest but your missing some things. I dont see you actually login the user into the server. They are connected, but i dont see them getting logged in. Not logging the user into the server prevents further steps to be taken (such as receiving the roo...

Heya- You say the problem occurred after you moved to vista? Chances are the problem is vista itself, its kinda a jerk, and puts like 1000 security restrictions on running applications that in the end do nothing more then hamper developers. Honest Opinion, find something else to do your development ...

Heya-

Yeah setting of mods is done in the config file, but the docs imply you also need to be using an Administrative extension. Doesnt say which one, if its included, or if its one you write yourself.

Heya- From what I understand the mod powers are not linked in anyway to your extension, they are part of some Admin extensions. Where this extension is, if its pre-included or what im not sure, searching the docs for "ban" only gave a few links none of which gave to much info. But yes the ...

Hey-

You are correct if the first window is closed the second window looses connection.

Is there a particular reason you dont want to have to establish a secondary connection?

Heya- Couple questions to clarify. Im assuming when you say in a different window, you mean in a different browser window? If that is the case, the simple answer is No, you can not directly use the socket connection in one swf in another swf (unless loaded inside each other). HOWEVER, there is a way...

Sorry if my post comes off as a tad condescending.

Perhaps i am not understanding your problem or your post correctly then, it just came off as though you were just complaining for the most part.
