Re: Problem with event handling in Unity

ThreadSafeMode must always be "true".
Also, make sure you always call the sfs.ProcessEvents() method in the MonoBehaviour.Update method, like this:

Code: Select all

   void Update() {
      if (sfs != null)
         sfs.ProcessEvents();
   }

Re: Joining MMORoom & Room causing mmoItems to disappear

I just tested this "multi-room-join" scenario using the MMORoom Demo project available in the Unity examples. After joining the MMO Room, I joined a non-mmo lobby Room. Everything works as expected, the position of all objects is updated and view behaves accordingly. So I believe something...

Re: CONNECTION_LOST event isn't always fired for websockets

We confirm the issue. We just released an updated version of the API ( v1.7.8 ) containing the modified SFSWebSockets.jslib file.
Again, thank you for reporting.

[NEW] API v1.7.8 released

A few days ago we released version 1.7.7 of the SFS2X C# API, now followed by version 1.7.8. We introduced an optimization which avoids generating some garbage when the ProcessEvents method is called and there's no event to be dispatched; we also fixed a minor issue in Unity's WebGL builds, causing ...

Re: GetVariable exception

"variables" is a standard Dictionary: Dictionary<string, UserVariable> variables It can't be null, or we would be calling a method on a null object, causing a different exception. What platform are you building your project for? Maybe this is a platform-specific issue? Or could it have to ...

Re: GetVariable exception

We double checked the behavior, requesting a non-existent variable, and everything is fine. Also, the code is straightforward in the API, and I don't know how anything could go wrong: public UserVariable GetVariable(string name) { if (!variables.ContainsKey(name)) return null; return variables[name]...

No issues with the client APIs; those can be redistributed freely.

Re: [NEW] API v1.7.11 released

We don't provide official TS definitions. We are aware of an independent project on NPM, but we never tested it and we don't know the level of compatibility with our current API version. This is the link to the mentioned project: https://www.npmjs.com/package/@types/smart-fox-server

Re: Older HTML5 client API that matches TS definitions

Hello.
We don't know anything about the project you linked. Without the authors mentioning it, it is impossible to say which version of our API it refers to. Maybe you can try contacting the author?

Could you please send a test project (using classic API, not webpack) showing the error? We would like to further investigate it.

Re: New to Webpack, help...

I thinks this might be an issue with the generation of the source map of your project, which in turn should embed the API source map. I suggest to follow the setup of the project in this example: http://docs2x.smartfoxserver.com/ExamplesJS/connector-npm-webpack In any case you are not forced to use ...

Re: SFS2X.LoginRequest is not a constructor.

Can you please send a test case?
Because we tested the new API in all our examples, and they work as expected. No "not a constructor" error ever.
Maybe something else is going on?
