Follow Up

As a follow up in my previous question, I'm doing some testing, and i have strange behavior. I developed my program using Eclipse in Windows, and so far it works just fine (if the possible leak is ignored) But the deployment server runs linux. Both are x86_64 platforms. When i run the client in wind...

I reuse the same object always, i don't create new instances of SFS each time i need a connection. I have a "flag" that checks the state of SFS when a connection is needed, if the server is already connected, i use it right away, if the server is not connected i create a instance if its th...

Possible Memory Leak?

Hello, I'm using the JAVA b3 client, and i'm having issues with the clean up of the app. I'm creating a standalone, sfs client that will run as a system daemon, this process needs to be alive for a long time, not only while is connected to the server. My implementation handles some sort of "on ...

I'm trying to find more information about this issue, but right now i don't have any solution to this. I'm not using the reconnection mechanism in the server, the way connections work for me is kind of different, and i will need to set up a connection on demand, a persistent connection won't work we...

Server Reconnection Issues

Hello, I've searched through the forum and found some posts about the same issue, but not quite the same scenario. I'm working with a long running process with the server using the Unity API, from a C# App, im not inside Unity but in a custom Environment. The issue is that, i can successfully open a...

Persistent Custom Tile Properties

Hello, I'm looking through the documentation and also the forums but i can't find anything related. I was wondering if there is any way to set "custom properties" to the tiles in a map, and made them persistent between loads, it is very important to have this from code and not from the Ope...

Linux RHEL5 Installation Issues

Hello, I'm trying to install SFS2x on a Red Hat Enterprise Linux 5 Box, but no luck so far. After going through the installation guide in: http://docs2x.smartfoxserver.com/GettingStarted/install-linux I decompressed the tar file in the box, but when trying to launch the server using ./sfs2x.sh A: -b...

Licensing Question

Hello, We purchased a license for SFS2X and we received our license file. In the notes next to the license file it states that the file has an expiration date set to 1 july 2011, since the licensing server will be available by that time. From my understanding the current license file is tied to the ...

Also, i was looking at other computers to test the issue you pointed out if the avatars are syncronized in every client, and that happens the same behavior is observed.

In all the clients the avatar is synced and the "jumping" happens. I'll try to record a video today and post it.

We made some tests to narrow this issue down: In local environments, with LAN network timings and latency the issue is too hard to reproduce, almost impossible for us at least. We tested the issue on the Open Space example and it has the same behavior, we can reproduce this using the example. Also o...

Avatar Jumping

Hello, I'm using SFS2x and OpenSpace in my project, recently i have found an issue with what i think is network latency, but i'm not completely sure about it. Sometimes when we are playing our game, and we click fast in different tile the avatar starts moving, and after that its like the position is...
