Hi Lapo, hi Bax, we are planning on a new project and we are thinking about integrating open space. But we definitely need the possibility to edit the maps at runtime. Smooth zoom-In, zoom-out and scrolling while zoomed-in (as described here: http://www.smartfoxserver.com/forums/viewtopic.php?t=5787...

Jetty Bug - 100% CPU usage - how to update Jetty?
Hi, we ran into a bug, where one Java Thread occupies 100% cpu. (1 out of 8 cores is occupied, so the system stays stable). This occurs randomly, after the system is online for a couple of days. I traced down the problem and found out, that the Jetty webserver causes these problems (after toggling t...

Hi Lapo, unfortunately I got a third - this time even more serious - concurrency problem with the scheduler: problem 3: java.lang.NullPointerException at it.gotoandplay.smartfoxserver.util.scheduling.Scheduler.executeTasks(Scheduler.java:299) at it.gotoandplay.smartfoxserver.util.scheduling.Schedule...

TaskManager: Thread-safety-error during stresstesting
Hi, I did some stresstesting (app. 1000 testclients, all performing quite some action) and got the following 2 errors in my logs : problem 1: java.lang.ArrayIndexOutOfBoundsException: 28 at java.util.LinkedList.toArray(LinkedList.java:866) at java.util.LinkedList.addAll(LinkedList.java:269) at java....

Admin Tool numbers: Sockets outnumber users be factor 2
Hi, running on SFS 1.6.7 (pre) I just wanted to check, if the numbers within my admin tool are in a normal range. 1. Compared to the number of connected users I seem to have quite a lot of connected sockets, ie 522 users and 1118 sockets. (MaxIdleTime 7200 --> I put that to such a high number in ord...

Update on the problem: I have also noticed, that the longer the server runs, more and more users are not removed properly from the zone.getUserList(). This leads to a lot of problems (incorrect spectator counts, etc.), resulting in inconsistencies of our ZoneExtension... I think the whole problem is...

zInfo user count does not match admin tool user count
Hi, I am using SFS 1.6.6, running on linux (debian), and encountered the following problem: The admin tool counts a different number of online users than the zInfo socket connection. The strange thing is, that when I restart the server, both approaches get the same result. However, the longer the se...

userCount and spectatorCount
Hi, I got some questions concerning the userCount and the spectatorCount within the JAVA client API: 1. The getUserCount() and getSpectatorCount() - methods don't seem to work properly for the JAVA client API. They only return the getMaxSpectators and getMaxUsers values. (Btw, the same methods withi...

disable "setBuddyVariables" (for security reasons)
Hi, unfortunately it seems to be impossible to disable the "setBuddyVariables" action, whereas the "setRoomVariables" and the "setUserVariables" action can be disabled. This is a major security problem (cheating problem, with malicious clients), if you want to use the B...
