Thanks for the quick reply. Well. I just couldn't imagine that your policy server is restricted to Windows systems (respectively GUI systems) since the SFS isn't and I don't see the necessity. That means we have to look for alternatives? I would think that a lot of SFS users currently live with the ...

Java Garbage Collector unloading python package classes
We noticed that the Smartfox Server for our (action) game seems to halt every now and then for 2-5 seconds causing ugly delays for all players. dots in chat filter bad words
Does not really have to do with the preceding post, but the topic matches nicely...
I would like to filter URLs so I added "http", ".com" and some others as bad words. Unfortunately the ones starting with a "." do not seem to work.
Is there workaround?

If you run the server as a service everything gets logged. That's the recommended mode for running the server in a production environment. okay, and when not running as a service? Stacktraces get swallowed? We currently have our own start script, I think because we had problems with the default one...

well, isn't this rather problematic? I just experienced the problem that I saw an exception on the console but did not find it in the log.
