Error on JSONDecoder() version

Hi, In our game we are loading a child SWF (from another programmer) which does some JSON serialization/deserialization and we are getting the following error: ArgumentError: Error #1063: Argument count mismatch on com.adobe.serialization.json::JSONDecoder(). Expected 1, got 2. at com.fpx.clients.XX...

I deleted the code but yeah, I'm pretty sure I was passing an argument, maybe wrong type? ( not string)?

Thank you for you quick response

Indeed, we don't seem to get the same problem when using javascript or when using native java classes in Jython.

Thanks for you help.

logging with threads

Hi, We need to submit data to a remote script for logging, we're currently using urllib2.openurl() Because it's a time expensive operation, we are using the following model in our room extension: 1) we accumulate log events into a python list 2) Periodically ( say, every 120 seconds ) we spawn a thr...

Minimum number of active threads?

Hi, I started up 1.6.0 and the thread counter is showing 30 currently active threads. Since I only have 1 zone, with 1 room and 0 users ( not counting the connected admin) , I was wondering if this number is expected and what's the default minimum number of threads created by the server at start up.

Here's my 2 cents: - if Client B is already responding to an "invitation" can he receive other challenges from other players? If B is not playing server should accept the request and forward it to the user, but all that means is that he will receive a onChallenge() event back o the client....

zones.xml separated from config.xml

I can see this being very handy. Instead of zones being listed at the end of config.xml , we'd have a config.xml and a zones.xml . If you think about it, the <zones> part of the configuration is unrelated to the more general configuration topics and it would make it clearer and cleaner to be able to...

Thanks, Lapo.

In Python's ( Jython's ) defense I'd say that I suspect further optimization might bring it much closer to the performance of native Java code.
However I'm sure the main point here was made that optimization and benchmarking are paramount when using scripted code.

Thanks again.

Hey, while you're at it, why not test the Python performance against the other two options? :D
