getInventoryItemSprite()

Postby laxersaz » 19 Feb 2010, 17:27

Hello there,

is it possible to use MovieClips with multiple frames as inventory items? Say, a plant with some different states?

Thanks,
Benjamin

Essentially inventory items in OpenSpace 2 are collections of tiles (or supertiles), one or more than one if you have multiple rotation angles.
Each tile has its own skin (even more than one) which can be a sprite or a movieclip.
When you call the getInventoryItemSprite method, a Sprite object is created, and the tile skin is added to its display list. So the answer is both no and yes :)
