Communicating with OpenSpace with SmartFox iPhone API

I'm new to the SmartFox server structure and I'm trying to wrap my head around the way the server is structured and how OpenSpace utilizes it.

I ultimately want to have a Flash application built on the OpenSpace API but be able to control my avatar with an iPhone application (things like movement or public messages). The iPhone application doesn't necessarily need to even show the map--it can just be a remote.

It seems like I may be able to find a solution using a SFSExtension/OpenSpace Extension and having the iOS app communicate with that...but before I dive into that, I thought I would ask and see if anyone could provide additional guidance.

Yes, your iOS app must definitely communicate with the OpenSpace server-side Extension (actually your own extension extending it - sorry for pun).
