Postby Coolurbo » 23 Dec 2016, 22:39

Hello!

I have some problems with SFS installing:

root@server:~/SFSBASIC_linux_1.5.5# ./install
./install: line 1: ./jre/bin/java: No such file or directory
root@server:~/SFSBASIC_linux_1.5.5# cd Server
root@server:~/SFSBASIC_linux_1.5.5/Server# ./sfs start
Starting SmartFoxServer PRO...
./sfs: 1: eval: /root/SFSBASIC_linux_1.5.5/Server/wrapper: not found
root@server:~/SFSBASIC_linux_1.5.5/Server# java -version
java version "1.7.0_121"
OpenJDK Runtime Environment (IcedTea 2.6.8) (7u121-2.6.8-1ubuntu0.14.04.1)
OpenJDK 64-Bit Server VM (build 24.121-b00, mixed mode)
root@server:~/SFSBASIC_linux_1.5.5/Server#

I have Ubuntu 14.04
How can I fix it?

Hi,
is there a specific reason why you need to install SFS Basic? This is an old product that came out in 2004 and we have supported until 2013, but as of now we would highly recommend to use SmartFoxServer 2X, as it provides better support for all major client platforms, better performance, a huge amount of new features, tons of examples to try etc...

If you want to see a quick comparison of the features see here:
http://smartfoxserver.com/products

Here's the main SFS2X download:
http://smartfoxserver.com/download/sfs2x#p=installer

Just saying... if you still prefer SFS Basic I will try to install it on Ubuntu and let you know.

cheers
Lapo
