Re: How to Reconnect to the smart fox server

The client detects a disconnection and retries to connect to the server. On the other side (server) the old session is still alive and waiting for the old owner to come back. If this happens within the time limit you've configured the old session is revived and you're good to go. If you want to lear...

Re: Unity FirstPersonShooter animation issue

Hi, I would probably try to debug the part where positional updates arrive at the client and check what's happening in terms of animation. What is particularly weird is that the enemy disappears and reappears abruptly. If the debugging doesn't help I would suggest to download the original copy of th...

Re: How to Reconnect to the smart fox server

Hi, if the disconnection is due to a temporary network error/hiccup this will usually help: http://docs2x.smartfoxserver.com/GettingStarted/reconnection-hrc-plus You just need to activate the reconnection system from the AdminTool and give it a reasonable reconnection time (typically 30-60 seconds) ...

Re: Questions about MMOItem

Hi, Do MMOItems count as one ccu ? No. When i spawn an MMOItem, is there a callback method from the server/client ? For example the player aoi has one, when an player exits the aoi or enters it. Yes, it is the PROXIMITY_LIST_UPDATE which tells you about all of the Users and MMOItems visibile in your...

Re: User kicked out of desired room

Hello, Actual behavior: User U2 leaves R1 User U2 enters R2 Room R1 gets destroyed User U2 gets booted from R2 Are there any client or server errors? Is U2 actually booted from the Room or is there a join error? Also, what type of Room is R2? Are the join requests sent from client or server side? Th...

Re: concept of concurrent users

Hi, the 100 CCU limit is present in the Community Edition which comes for free. For a production environment you can buy a commercial license which allows you to run higher number of CCUs. The physical limit is only dictated by how big your servers are. We have tested a single SFS instance with over...

Re: How to tell the jetty server to reload?

Hi, your question is related to Extension, so I am not sure why you're referring to Jetty? Jetty handles the HTTP side of SmartFoxServer. In any case back to your question, it sounds like your Extension is not really getting reloaded. Are you sure it is getting reloaded? You should be able to see it...

Re: How to compare two sets of ISFSArray for differences ?

Hi,
the ISFSArray is an object so it's not byte data. You could traverse the two objects and compare every item. There isn't an easy way to do it because the array can also contain other nested arrays, objects etc...

Re: Cant send ByteArray

How big is the array you're sending?
There's a limit on the size of the message that a client can send to the server. By default it is set to 500K (compressed).

If you need to send bigger data you can change the limit under SFS2X/config/core.xml

Hope it helps

Re: sfs x2 use webgl

Hi,
I would say the cause is this line:

Code: Select all

SFS.ThreadSafeMode = false;

You don't need to change the "thread safe mode" for WebGL.

Hope it helps

Re: Problem with inserting Arabic text to the database

Hi,
I am not a MySQL expert but I believe you should look into the "collation" property of your database schema.

See this article:

Re: Serialization, OnExtensionResponse Not firing

I must apologize for not having thought of this before, haven't used class serialization in a long while. In our documentation we require to setup the current assembly before using serialization, so that the reflection code can find the classes needed for rebuilding objects. It is reminded in our do...

Re: Serialization, OnExtensionResponse Not firing

I am not sure where those values get tested in your code, but seeing that they are marked as [SerializeField] I suspect they are also part of a class that extends MonoBehavior?

I'd recommend re-checking those data classes and removing the inheritance where necessary.
